About Us

Svensk & Company Inc. was established in 2005 as an insurance underwriting, brokerage and advisory firm in the areas of credit and political risk insurance and trade finance. It provides underwriting management for three captive insurance cells in Bermuda and wholesale insurance broking services in the U.S. and has supported various start-up ventures in the trade and insurance industries.

In 2017, the Company established Trade Credit Underwriters Ltd. (“TCU”) in Bermuda as a captive cell which offers credit and political risk insurance to its Members.

TCU provides underwriting services for captive insurers wishing to use their captive for managing their credit and political risk exposures and has assisted companies in organizing their captive companies in Bermuda.

Its principals have also provided expert witness services to both insurers and insureds in respect of credit and political risk insurance disputes.

Svensk & Company principals have over 130 years of experience collectively in trade credit insurance and international banking, with a particular expertise in Latin America.
